This is the house Sir George John once owned and later sold to the king of Afghanistan. Today, this is the Nigerian embassy and as you see from the photograph (hover your mouse pointer over the old black and white picture below), that very little has changed in nearly eighty years.

the story so far .....

The problem with genealogy, is the number of 'dead ends' the researcher often finds themselves in. Family stories can usually be a source of inspiration just as they can easily perplex and confound. family history is like stepping into your own adventure story. you have to be methodical thorough and blessed with a spirit of adventure.above all the researcher needs to be honest both to themselves and to others who in future generation
